At GreenPlanet Nutrients it has always been, and always will be, about the quality and purity of our products. Based in British Columbia, Canada, we’re able to implement our 25 years of craft growing knowledge into the production of our innovative and ethically-sourced plant nutrients and system maintenance products. Through this, we plan to give the hobbyist or commercial grower the peace of mind that they can reach new highs in their yields while doing their part in the cultivation of a greener future.

GreenPlanet Nutrients’ mission is to offer conscious, nature-inspired nutrients to cultivate a greener world for all to enjoy.

The objective of this project is to create new and engaging artwork for official GreenPlanet apparel that appeals to our target audience.

Our target audience is predominantly men between the ages of 19 and 44 years of age. These people are growers, consumers, retailers, and work predominantly in the legal cannabis industry (this includes craft growers, medical patients, licenced producers, hobbyists, home-growers, etc.). Our target audience is very passionate about their craft and the plants they grow. Many of these people have been growing for a very long time and are firmly entrenched in the culture surrounding cannabis and its cultivation.

We have a high demand for apparel on our website and social media channels. To combat this and our limited resources, we are reaching out to students to submit fresh and creative designs to liven up our apparel look for our online store, starting with t-shirt designs. We will feature local artists by name or @ handle, whichever is preferred.

The goal of this project is for students to submit up to 3 art pieces following these particular themes:

  • Green Planet
  • Canadian and proud
  • Trippy and Hippy

The key metrics we will use to determine if the artwork is successful is:

  • Is it engaging? (Is the art piece edgy, urban, or humorous?)
  • Does it fit with our desired themes?
  • Has the artist been creative with the themes?
  • Does the artwork resonate with our target audience?
  • Is this art piece usable as a t-shirt print? (1-4 colours maximum)

We’re allowing 3 submissions per person, therefore you may submit 3 ideas for one theme or 1 idea for each theme. The chosen designs will receive $200 CAD for their artwork.

Submit artwork with the below form with the subject line: Student Artist Submissions.

  •  Artwork must be submitted as a PDF or JPEG.
  •  File size should be no larger than 5MB per design
  • Upload File and select the theme that is associated with the file uploaded.
  • In your body subject, tell us about the artwork you’ve created and why we should print this on our clothing.
  • To be eligible to receive the $200 CAD compensation the chosen artwork must be submitted as a vector file. The design team will contact the winner about the file requirements
